About Us

CY-STEM is a non profit organization driven by a group of high school students with a variety of STEM interests ranging from aerospace engineering to microbiology and more. We provide STEM education and tutoring services to students in the area, in order to foster interest and knowledge in the STEM fields.

Meet the Team

CEO and Founder

Akhil Kalepalli

Akhil Kalepalli is a senior at BRHS and created CY-STEM in order to spread STEM knowledge to students of all ages. In the future, he wants to become a neurosurgeon while simultaneously conducting neuroscience research.

Outreach Director

Rhea Gandhi

Rhea Gandhi is a senior at BRHS. She's interested in pursuing a degree in chemical engineering. In her free time, she enjoys learning about the stars, listening to Taylor Swift, and traveling!

Social Media Manager

Siya Gupta

Siya Gupta is currently a high school senior at BRHS. She's interested in the medical field and hope to become a doctor. She's also a certified EMT.

Tutor to Student Coordinator

Karthik Angara

Karthik Angara is a senior at BRHS, and joined CY-STEM give back to my community and share his love for the subjects. In the future, he aspires to become a cardiologist and conduct research to advance the field of cardiology.
